About me: My name is Greta and I am in my twenties. I love to get to know people from all over the world. Also, I'm interested in societies and cultures and I hold a bachelor's degree in Sociology. Topic: For now, the topic of the blog is living and travelling in Asia.

Name of the blog: Japan is well known as the land of the rising sun according to it's eastward position to China (Wikipedia 2013b). There also is an anecdote, that prince Shotoku of Japan sent a letter to China with the words: "The Emperor of the land where Sun rises sends a letter to the Emperor of the land where Sun sets. Are you healthy?" (C 2006). I'm sure the Chinese emperor was not amused about that. 

Also Arunachal Pradesh means land of the rising sun, if you translate it literally (Wikipedia 2013a).

In the end, I think all places can be beautiful lands of the rising sun and I want to see them all.
